The Hispanic Male awoke the female and urged her to not fight with him while rummaging throughout the residence taking from the residence a small television set. Once the Hispanic Male was finished he ordered the elderly female into her vehicle. The Hispanic Male then drove the female from the residence and around town before arriving at Radio Tower Rd. It is believed this is when the Hispanic Male sexually assaulted the elderly female and shortly after stabbed her multiple times in her abdomen, chest and neck. The Hispanic Male then departed the area leaving the elderly female on the side of the road. Emergency Medical Services transported the female to Scenic Mountain Medical Center for treatment. The elderly female was then flown to Odessa Medical due to her injuries sustained. The victims vehicle was found abandoned in a secluded area in the 1400 block of E. 2nd. The Big Spring Police Department is investigating this offense with the cooperation of the Department of Public Safety Texas Rangers. At this time the only suspect description is believed to be between 5'7" - 6'0" tall Hispanic Male last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt. As of this report the victim is listed as serious but stable condition following surgery.
